The sawn stone used for the terraces works well with the wall stone that has been used to clad the sunken terrace. Laid in the more modern way of random coursing, with fixed widths, the 5mm joints are pointed with Mapei. We also used Millboard decking in antique oak to create the cantilevered deck that reaches out over the woodland. The wonderful green metal balustrade was designed to blend in with the trees beyond - providing safety without losing the view. At the other end of the garden, a bespoke oak summerhouses is open on two sides with a wood-burner for those sunny winter days. A raised boardwalk, in the same Millboard decking- has a central water feature. Pleached trees offer privacy from the neighbouring houses.
